Laurie Shovers’ jewelry consists of intricately designed and hand woven bead work presented flat to wear as a bracelet, or wrapped around lightweight anodized aluminum spools and shapes that are combined with other beads and found objects to make beautiful necklaces, earrings or pins.

Her colorful work can be seen in many of the country’s top galleries and boutiques, including The Guthrie Theater, in Minneapolis, Minnesota, The Milwaukee Art Museum in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and The Vale Craft Gallery in Chicago, Illinois.

The unique combination of woven beads and the colorful machine-turned anodized aluminum, give her jewelry its clean lines and elegant look. Lightweight and wearable from morning to night.

GODDESS NECKLACE/PIN-FEATURED FOR SPRING & SUMMER OF 2009
For this limited edition piece, Laurie has bezeled one of her gold-colored aluminum ’watch battery’ shapes for the goddess’ head and added a semi-precious carnelian stone. She has riveted the textured sterling silver wings and body with unique beads and found objects. This piece can be worn as a necklace or a pin. A 16” rubber cord is included. The original design is followed as close as possible, but no two are entirely identical. – $125.00

A variety of lightweight and colorful choices abound. Each pendant & necklace is uniquely individual! Choose from seven different shapes and eight different colors on 16” or 18” rubber cords or sterling chains. Each one with Laurie’signature beading and or stone selection.

EARRINGS

Carefully turned and then hand beaded with a tiny needle and thread, all my earrings are jewel-like, lightweight and colorful. I have six beautiful shapes to choose from and eight colors in most of the styles. You’ll be sure to find something you like to fit your budget and lifestyle.
